Haggin Oaks Golf Expo... Largest Demo Days You Have Ever Been To...

This weekend is the biggest golf weekend of the year at Haggin Oaks.  From April 27-29 Haggin Oaks will be hosting the largest demo days in the country.  Other than the PGA Merchandise Show, there is nothing else like this around.  All the major golf manufacturers will be in attendance and will be providing free club demos on the driving range from 9-5 each day.  

Get fit by the Tour vans on the back of the driving range and even have your clubs built on the spot.  To book a club fitting call the Haggin Oaks Appointment Office at 916.808.2531.  Fittings are by Appointment only all weekend and only $25.  There are so many fun events that will be happening all weekend, some of which are listed below.  Click here to check out all the information about the Haggin Oaks Golf Expo.  If you have never been to the Haggin Oaks Golf Expo and are a huge golf fan, you have to come by and check us out.  It is a very busy weekend and we expect thousands of people in attendance.  Don't miss Golf Expo. Hole in One Holiday Miracle

Getting a hole in one is truly a miracle.  So many golfers go their entire life without experiencing this accomplishment.  Getting a hole in one on the first swing with your brand new set of fitted irons is like winning the lottery and being struck by lightning in the same day.  It is pretty much impossible....  But not for John Lillis.

Recently I fit John into a new set of Ping G20 irons.  We went through a detailed fitting and got everything dialed in.  We placed the order and he received the clubs within 2 weeks.  His specs were TFC 169 graphite regular flex, standard length, and purple dot.  And his first time out with his new clubs, on the first hole, with the first swing of the day John had his first Hole in One!

Here is how John describes his amazing experience.
"I am still in the "glow" from my first ever hole in one with my new G-20 Ping Irons. This was my first shot of the day at the Par 3, 155 yd., 15th hole at Lake of the Pines.


I received the new clubs at my house on Sat.,12/17/11 and didn't have time to even hit a shot with them. I played the next day and did not have time to hit any warm up shots and with the frost delay rode with my friend, Steve Rhodes, to join three other golfers waiting on the 15th tee.

I was second to play and chose a 7 iron. I hit the ball exactly where I wanted it to go and it rolled from right to left approximately 15 feet and dropped into the hole!!!!!

Since that day I have been to the range once to really get the feel for my new irons. From the imprint of the ball on the club face I am hitting the ball on the sweet spot very consistently.

Matt Young did a great job in custom fitting these irons to my swing. I have probably hit 15,000 golf shots and never scored a hole in one. I love my new PING G-20 irons and the custom fit I received courtesy of Matt Young, golf pro at Haggin Oaks.

Golf and Lifestyle Magazine Article... Gear Up in the Winter

Back in October I was featured in Golf and Lifestyle Magazine. I apologize that it has taken me so long to get this up but I thought that I would share it with you again if you missed it. After this article was published I went on an amazing trip to Scotland with a group from Callaway. It was a trip of a life time and I will be sharing some of the pictures and videos from the trip very soon.

Golf during the winter months...

The golf "season" may be slowing down now that winter is in full swing, but this is a great time to get geared up for next year and work on your game. Right now many golf manufacturers are starting to release their new products. Callaway has released the new Diablo Octane forged composite Driver and Woods. Titleist introduced the new 910 Driver. Nike just put out the MachSpeed Black Drivers and a couple new iron sets. Ping, Mizuno, and Taylormade have also released some of their new products. If you are looking to improve your equipment feel free to contact me and I will be happy to help you find the right club and fit you properly for it.

With the weather being so cold and the busy holiday season ahead of us, many people do not have as much time to dedicate to a full round of golf. Now is a great time to come take a few lessons from me a make some changes to your swing. If you can find the time to work on your game during these slow golf months, you will be one step ahead of your golf buddies who are going into golf hibernation. Make sure you dedicate some time each week on the driving range and putting green. Even if that just means you are swinging the clubs in your backyard or putting on the carpet inside. I would be happy to work with you and make improvements to your swing that will help you shoot lower scores.

Don't let your game suffer during these slow golf months.
